Christmas Cruise Sex Ordeal

The Holly Jolly CONTINUES! This week we take a look at the 2004 French horror film Calvaire, in which a singer is tortured on his way to a Christmas show down south, and Kubrick's swan song Eyes Wide Shut, in which Tom Cruise has a breakdown because he learned his wife has sexual fantasies.. If those won't put you in the holiday spirit, we have no clue what would. Also Tyler fan gushes, Dave weeps, and Kevin twists the knife.

St. Nick and Nora's Infinite Wishlist

The Endlessly Depressive March of Holiday Cheer continues. This week we take a look at Netflix's attempt to dethrone Hallmark from the Throne of Cheap Holiday Flicks with Kurt Russell and The Christmas Chronicles and the classic pre-Code mystery-comedy starring Hollywood's all time best pairing of William Powell and Myrna Loy in The Thin Man. Plus Chris bludgeons Craig to take his place, Kevin waxes lyrical about a certain Hallmark holiday leading lady, Dave gushes incoherently again, and Tyler lives in fear that we won't go Muppet-free again this year.

Season's Beatings

This week we start to feel the holiday spirit with an unlikely pair of films that we hope will one day go together like wine and cheese or Spam with lobster thermidor. August Underground Penance shows the joys of psychotics during the holidays in bloody detail while celebrating the classic holiday activity of bringing gifts to the home of strangers and a spotlight on the often overlooked importance of maintaining communication in your special relationships during this busy time of year. Santa with Muscles shows that even if you are supplement selling shyster with delusions of Clouseau than all you really need to be a better person if to collect orphans.

Breen There, Done That

Keiran returns as we dive headlong into THREE BREEN FILMS! Double Down (2005), I Am Here... Now (2009), and Pass Thru (2016)! An epic discussion of one of the world's most interesting filmmakers. To stop Tyler from killing himself in Breen driven despair, we make a short detour to discuss Lexi Alexander's Punisher: War Zone. It only helps him a little.

We're All Dhoomed

This week we take a dip into some new territory with Dhoom, the 2004 Indian action thriller musical about a violent and sadistic cop who blackmails a local bike shop owner to help take down a gang of thieves. Then we look at the 1994 Roger Corman produced but still unreleased superhero film The Fantastic Four and it's companion documentary Doomed. Also Dave rants about the three other FF features, Tyler almost dies from Kevin's machinations, and Craig returns to try and finish him off.

The Treasure of the Empty Box Truck

This week, as Craig sidelines himself for recovery from violent diarrhea received at a Slayer concert, we rush headlong into two very different films. First up is The Bunny Game. The tale of a young drug addicted prostitute who is abducted by a trucker and tortured. No points for correctly guessing who picked that one. Then we take a trip to the gold laden Mexican hills with three guys in search of their fortunes. Does The Treasure of the Sierra Madre or is it really a statement about humanity?
I don't know but you might after this week. Join us and Bogie, won't we?

We See Paradise by the Mad Horde Fight

After a hectic month with the October Horror Challenge, we finally settle back into the normal flow. This week Dave unleashes Paradise, a Canadian Blue Lagoon rip off. Will any of us ever look at the wonderful Phoebe Cates the same again? Is Willie Aames really the worst protagonist we have seen? Kevin counters with the cult classic Australian and Hong Kong co-production The Man from Hong Kong. A Bond, a lot of civilian casualties and the second most obnoxious lead we have ever had to endure.
All that and a digression into 007, how we ended our OHCs, and the genesis of Kevin's passion for goth girls is revealed to be the same place Craig and T's passion for the Divine Miss M.
