   This week we take apart two deeply political films. First up, all is not idyllic in Jolly Olde England as a masked man plots blowing up Parliament but still finds time for the odd side murder and total reprogramming of a news station employee. Then a man is mutilated by a racist cop and medically experimented on in prison for three years. When he gets out a unique kind of revenge will be unleashed on those who wronged him but he will still find time for a new love and some light stalking of his ex.

Also Tyler waxes poetically about certain special performer, Kevin realizes exactly what sin he committed in a past life to deserve these things, Craig is stuck in UPS center somewhere in Ohio, and Dave rants like his life depended on it... which it does.

This week we reach deep into Tyler's brain and pull out his worst nightmare with another trip to the world dominating plans of Professor Gangrene and Return of the Killer Tomatoes. Then we poorly make amends by exploiting his interest in Jack the Ripper with Nicholas Meyer's 1979 time travel serial killer romp Time After Time.

Loving Lions Lovers Lyin's

Trampolines, nudity, ziplines, drugs, violent action, sexy action, Turkish Exploitation trash, French Exploitation art. This week we watch legendary star of Turkish cinema, Cüneyt Arkin, star in a film that asks "What happens if Tarzan was raised by lions during the first Crusade?"! The answer is Lion Man. Then we settle in for a meditation on emotion and passion. Where do you turn for a look at how it feels to be the most vapid bastard in the Universe having a nice long opium driven gaze at your own navel while crying and masturbating in a tub to memories of the one who got away. Apparently, all we need is Gaspar Noé's Love. 

Sometimes it's a carpet rolled killer, sometimes it's man cream, but RotP always brings tears to someone's eyes. Join us, won't we?

Bawlmer's Second Favorite Son

This week we finally pat tribute to the Pope of Filth, the Paterfamilias of Transgressive Cinema, the Prince of Puke, Baltimore's Second Favorite Son... John Waters. We kick things off with a look at his precursor to Punk Culture and the start of the Trash Trilogy, Pink Flamingos. It's a film some of us have long embraced, newcomers should be sure to cook themselves a hearty meal of eggs before viewing the party scene to properly enjoy along with the characters. In a futile effort to impose an idea of class on the proceedings we jump forward to the more mainstream but no less great period of his career that ran through the 1980s and 90s to take jury seats for the trial of Serial Mom. Kathleen Turner shows that she is a powerhouse with a wonderful supporting cast and razor sharp script. Being pulled back to his early works by the powerful charisma of Divine, we then discuss Female Trouble, a film that might be one of Waters' most topical films still. Finally we end with his final film A Dirty Shame, which is the most aptly titled film anyone has ever made.

I'm sure there's a metaphor or life lesson somewhere in Slipstream. Then we land in New Zealand to revel in some nostalgic soaked coming of age shenanigans with a shogun and Boy.

This week we take another trip to Serbia and learn how to bowl like a professional. First up we thumb a ride in the most distinctive bus in Europe, see some snuff up close, and witness The Life and Death of a Porno Gang. Then we take a break to find zen in an abduction scheme before the league semifinals with The Big Lebowski. One endlessly quotable film and one about how absolutely awful life is. Who thought we'd find so much in a Serbian shock film or the Coens would make us so damn depressed? Might have that reversed.

This week we take our chances going against ninjas, the mob, and an interestingly themed New York gang. First we take a look back at the wild days of Los Vegas with Casino, the only movie where De Niro doesn't play a good Catholic boy. Pesci is still Pesci, as that holds the Universe together. Next we take a tour of NYC's sewer system with a group of Muppets and a De Niro impersonator to learn the secret arts of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Finally we emerge into gloriously campy beacon of hope that is the Village People who are THE Sound of the 80s... because they Can't Stop the Music.
All that and a Mystery Guest, Tyler weeps, Craig is forced to take a hard look at his life, Kevin tries to make many parable comparisons, and Dave realizes he is the most secure in his sexuality.
